What's this? Water falling from the sky?

So I haven't had any weather to mention at all. This dry, hot spell has doomed many residents of N TX and OK due to various prairie wildfires, but otherwise nothing has gone down.

That might change a little for the beginning of this week. A decent looking front will begin to push down into the panhandle overnight and some cooler air will accompany it. SE Texas looks like it will receive a little rain on Tuesday will highs dropping to the low 60's for a day or two once the front reaches this far south. It will at least provide for some chilly nights which haven't even been the case with this dreadful heat wave.

Also, on the long term, looking at about say 8-9 days out, we could see a nice shot of colder air coming into the south for the beginning of the Spring semester. These predictions are obviously wavering with any changing patterns over the next few days, but I'll keep my fingers crossed.

In other news, the Chicago Bears will be playing ( and beating ) the Carolina Panthers next Sunday afternoon at Soldier Field. Not sure what the weather will be yet but I'll be adding an NFL playoff weather segment for next week on Th-Fr.

Let's go Bears!
